Friday, May 2nd and Saturday, May 3rd

I really didn't get much sleep last night. They scheduled Erin to be checked every 2 hours. When they weren't getting her vital signs they were giving her medicine. Then of course she would have to go to the bathroom. Then a beep here and a buzz there. It was CRAZY!

Friday and Saturday were for the most part normal days. We monitored the EVD (extra ventricular drain). I was a little concerned because I remember the last time and what a challenge it was to get the drain out. The difference was that last time Erin was in surgery for 13 hours and lost a lot of blood this time the surgery was so much different. I was hoping. So far everything seems to be going according to plan.

Erin had some visitors today. She was very glad for that. Kim, Amy, Mylie, Heather and Grandma. She was so excited to see Mylie. Thanks for coming to visit. It helped Erin a lot.

I had to get out of the hospital. I just couldn't sit there one more minute. I was so glad when my mom came and took over. I went with Steven and the kids for a while and just had fun.

Erin has also had Jill, Justin, Jace, Shellee, Sterling, Grandpa, etc. come and visit, basically the whole family. THANKS!!!
