Erin Hope Galbraith

Erin Hope Galbraith our miracle child, and angel passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on November 29, 2009 in Orem, Utah after a long, courageous fight with cancer at the age of 8 years old. She was born on March 4, 2001 in Ogden, UT to Steven and Nancy Galbraith. In 2003 her family moved to Utah County. She was the youngest of three children. She attended school at Orchard Elementary.

She was a member of the LDS church and one of the highlights in Erin's life was her baptism in March, 2009. Her Primary leader said she had not seen a child more excited to be baptized than Erin.

Erin would never be left out of any activity, even with her disability. She was a spunky, spirited beautiful girl who enjoyed the simple things in life including collecting stuffed animals, taking pictures of flowers, picking flowers, giving hugs and kisses, teasing her family and riding her scooter. She carried a ray of sunshine everywhere she went and was a light and inspiration to many. Erin made the world a better place and will be greatly missed.

Erin is survived by her parents, Nancy (Coleman) and Steven Galbraith; brother, Ted; sister, Kate; grandparents, Linda and Jerry Coleman, Clinton, UT; Helen Galbraith, Ogden, UT; great grandma, Clea Coleman Coburn, Smithfield, UT; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Erin was preceded in death by her grandfather, Wallace Ted Galbraith.

During the last months of Erin's life she was cared for by Harmony Home Health and Hospice. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the sweet kindness and dedicated service that was rendered. You have been our angels!

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 4, 2009 at 11:00 am at the Timpanogos Park 6th Ward LDS Chapel, 955 North 300 East, Orem , Utah. Family and friends may call on Thursday evening, December 3, 2009 at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, in Orem from 6-8 pm or at the church on Friday morning from 9:30-10:30 am prior to services.
