Erin and her nurse Amber

Erin and her nurse Amber

Amber was very patient with Erin. We had her as our nurse three days in a row while we were in the NTU. It helped so much to have that consistency. I like the way Amber handled Erin. As we all know Erin is not the most easy going girl all the time.

Feeling happy after getting the EVD removed

Erin was very happy to get the EVD out of her head. She felt a lot more freedom and was ready to get up and go all over the hospital.

Sid taking Erin's EVD out. YEAH!!!

This is Sid (on the bed) and Roni the nurse taking out Erin's EVD on Monday, May 5, 2008. Sid is the LPN for the neurosurgery team. She was also the one who took out Erin's EVD last time we were in the hospital. Erin and I were playing a game of cards (I was getting whooped by Erin by the way) when Sid came to take out the EVD. She told us we could keep playing. Erin only yelled at Sid a couple of times.

Thanks Patricia for bringing Bella. She always cheers up Erin. If you look at the older pictures...last time Erin was in the hospital Bella was a baby and came to visit Erin in a cute flower costume which Erin still talks about and loves.
